In December 2008 John arranged the Orchestral Overture for Diana Ross's appearance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, and travelled to Oslo for the rehearsals and performance.

In October 2009 he produced a number of arrangements for Diana Ross's appearances at the Symphonica in Rosso concerts in the Netherlands.
