"I CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE FRIGHTENED OF NEW IDEAS. I’M FRIGHTENED OF THE OLD ONES."

- John Cage

JOHN STUDIED COMPOSITION AND PIANO AT TRINITY COLLEGE OF MUSIC

John’s recent works include “If You’d Seen This” (solo saxophone) for Amy Dickson, "Temple Trio” (for 3 layered organs) for Roger Sayer and “Temple Meditation and Echoes” for a special concert at Temple Church in June 2021.

John’s large scale work “Seven Blake Songs” (2017) has been performed a number of times, most recently at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The piece has been recorded by London Voices and its release is pending.

In 2011 “Variations on the Fourth Tune” was performed by the Trinity Laban String Ensemble conducted by Nic Pendlebury at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich. This piece is soon to be released in an arrangement for multiple violas recorded by Nick Pendlebury. “Music for 3 Quintets, 3 Sextets and 7 Percussion” was performed twice at Blackheath Concert Halls by Trinity College of Music.
